Our work in

Haiti

Construction is underway for our orphanage, Gio’s House. At its completion, the building will house 40 boys and girls providing them safe housing, nutrition, healthcare and spiritual services. Of the approximately 3.5 million school-age children in Haiti, 800,000 do not have access to schooling. Due to the inability to afford schooling fees, the average child receives only 5 years of education. Through our scholarship, we aim to offset these fees so that more children can receive the right to education.

Access to healthcare is at an all-time low, predominantly among the poorest in Haiti. Gio’s House will assist in providing quality healthcare to those who need it most at no cost. Once complete, the Gio's House of Hope Orphanage will be home to on-site primary and preventative care services for the children and community of Haiti.

Summer Camp

This summer, we launched our first Summer Camp program for children in Haiti Petion-Ville Publin. Two days a week (Monday and Friday) Gio's staff and volunteers worked to provide children meals, Gospel lessons, games and activities, and more. The program also identifies children who are not going to school so that we can partner with local Catholic school, Communaute Saint Francois D'assise to provide tuition for those children. Your support will allow us to continue the summer program next year.

After School Program

During the school year, we host an After School Program for children in Haiti Petion-Ville Publin. Three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) Gio's staff and volunteers spend time with students after school to provide them meals, help with homework, activities, school supplies, tuition assistance and more. Your support allows us to assist the children of Haiti all school year long ensuring their success and quality education.
